Reflecting on Individual Progress
This has been a fun and challenging semester of learning how to create and design learning games.
- I would say that I struggled the most on making the games educational without making them too complicated.
- It felt like I was constantly second guessing every idea I had and every idea I came up with was very complicated in practice.
- I guess I want to learn more about how to condense topics down and make them less complicated. That way the game can be a fun experience while also learning a lot
- I enjoyed learning everything. It made see other games that I have played before in a whole new light. I was constantly saying t myself, "Wow, I never thought about it like that."
I would say I learned to be more creative and have a better understanding of how to incorporate learning into gaming. I would say my patience was tested throughout this course with all the projects we had to create. It definitely improved and I realized how making games take time and patience.
I want to keep making games and challenging myself to make those games educational. I think this has been a great learning experience.
Am I a professional game designer now? No, I still have much to learn. I feel like the more I practice, the more I will improve.
